Masthead:The font is big, bold and in capital letters. It is positioned in the top left hand corner. The masthead is in red, as always with this magazine, which stands out from the rest of the magazine and this helps them develop there magazine identity.
Main Image:
The main image is a close up/medium shot of La Roux, expressing her facial expression. She is looking directly at the camera, showing determination to be one of 'The Future 50'. She is wearing white lipstick, her eyebrows are white, her eyelashes are white and so is her skin colour. She is wearing light blue eye shadow, which contrasts with the white showing a ice cold theme which again reflects the idea of the 'future'. Her costume also reflects this as she is wearing a coat. She looks frozen, as there is no feelings or expression shown from her to the target audience. This Image is aligned on the left of the page.
Background:
The background is an image of silver beads, giving the front cover a retro look.
Target Audience:
This magazine is aimed at an age group of 16-25. We know this because it's a modern music magazine with the latest updates on new bands and singers and people of this age group know the latest in music.
Barcode:
The barcode is positioned in the bottom left hand corner of the cover of the magazine. This is because it's not that important as it's quite small.
Straplines:
The straplines are aligned on the right, along side the main image, in yellow and white. One of the straplines say, 'I'm a whole new kind of pop star'. This 'call out' is interesting yet intriguing to make the reader read the full article.
'THE BANDS
THE ARTISTS
THE INNOVATORS'
This makes the reader want to know who these bands, artists and innovators are, as they want to keep updated on the latest!
Colours:
The font colours which are used in this magazine are red, yellow and white. These colours stand out from the grey/silver background so it is easy to read and it would grab the target audience's attention.
